DENVER (Business Wire) -- KB Home (NYSE: KBH), one of the nation's largest and most recognized homebuilders, today announced plans for its fifth new home community in the Stapleton master plan. KB Home has sold more new homes within Stapleton than any other builder since the development opened in 2002. Model home construction is nearly complete for the new neighborhood called Stapleton Conservatory Green, with a grand opening planned for April 6.
“We are proud to have been an active member of the Stapleton community since the beginning, building our new homes there for over 10 years now,” said Matt Mandino, president of KB Home's Colorado division. “Stapleton Conservatory Green is an exciting opportunity to contribute to this thriving community's latest evolution and expansion. The core principles behind Conservatory Green are well-aligned with KB Home's commitments to energy-efficient and sustainable new home construction.”
KB Home plans to offer home shoppers their choice of six two-story floor plans, with two or three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and two-car garages. All homes will be ENERGY STAR® certified and include WaterSense labeled fixtures, which can help lower energy and water utility bills for many years to come and conserve precious natural resources.
Because KB homes are Built to Order™, buyers can choose and personalize almost all aspects of their home. At Stapleton Conservatory Green, KB Home's designs will offer basement options, the option to convert a bedroom to a loft or den space as well as the ability to extend garages for additional storage space. Buyers also get to select many interior décor features and finishes such as cabinetry, flooring and light fixtures at the KB Home Design Studio.
Conservatory Green will be the eighth neighborhood created within Stapleton. With aesthetics influenced by the sweeping prairies and agricultural heritage of the land, it is a community intended to stay true to Stapleton's new urban vision while existing in harmony with the natural landscape and encouraging its residents to lead a more sustainable lifestyle. Nearly everything residents need is a short walk or bike ride away.
At the community's center will be a namesake gathering place, the Conservatory Green, designed for hosting entertainment, farmers markets and other events. Parks and walking trails incorporated throughout the community will provide natural extensions of homeowners' private yards and are intended to foster neighborhood relationships and interaction.
Located just north of I-70 and Central Park Boulevard, Conservatory Green residents can enjoy the urban conveniences of Stapleton as well. The adjacent Shops at Northfield offer a wide variety of retail, dining and entertainment options. Families are served by schools within Stapleton, affording many students the chance to walk to school. Stapleton is also close to Dick's Sporting Goods Park, just 10 minutes from downtown Denver and 20 minutes from DIA.
