FBL Financial Group Names John D. Currier, Jr. Chief Actuary

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (Business Wire) -- FBL Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: FFG) announced today that John D. Currier, Jr. will join the company as Chief Actuary. In this role, Currier will be a member of the organization's Management Team and have overall responsibility for life actuarial matters and enterprise risk management.

Currier comes to FBL Financial Group with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Over the past eight years, he has held actuarial and product management positions at AVIVA USA, most recently serving as Chief Actuary. Currier holds a B.A. degree in actuarial science from Butler University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. In addition, he is a member of the Butler University Actuarial Science Board of Visitors.
