Accenture Positioned as a Leader in Providing Professional Services to Utility Companies in IDC MarketScape

NEW YORK (Business Wire) -- Accenture (NYSE:ACN) has been positioned as a leader by IDC Energy Insights in providing professional services to utility companies in the EMEA region – Europe, Middle East and Africa. In its newly published IDC MarketScape: IT Services Providers in the EMEA Utilities Market, (Doc #EIOS02V), May 2013, IDC assessed the capabilities and strategies of leading professional service firms in addressing the specific needs of the utilities industry in the region, including electricity, gas, water and district heating/cooling.

The services assessed by IDC Energy Insights included business consulting, IT consulting, systems integration, custom application development, IS outsourcing, business process outsourcing (horizontal and utilities industry specific), and support and training.
