MUNICH (Business Wire) -- EVault, Inc., a Seagate Company (NASDAQ:STX), today announced the opening of its new office in Munich, Germany. The new office allows EVault to expand its footprint in Europe, better serve current partners, and continue to grow its partner channel. EVault's office in Munich is situated in the same building as Seagate Germany.
EVault provides onsite, cloud and cloud-connected data protection solutions to help organizations protect distributed environments, supported by a secure, reliable cloud storage infrastructure and backed by the highest quality customer service. EVault has been a leader in the industry's move to hybrid storage models, with a uniquely integrated ecosystem of EVault storage software, SaaS, managed services and appliances that help ensure customers maintain business continuity. Geared towards mid-market and enterprise-level businesses, EVault solutions are optimized to perform in multi-site, multi-platform environments, ideal for protecting operations in remote and branch office locations.
From its new office in Germany, EVault will offer its cloud-connected backup and recovery products and services through its partners, Cloud-Connected Resellers (CCR) and Cloud-Connected Service Providers (CCSP). EVault will also offer local partner training.
“As Europe's biggest national economy Germany has a sophisticated base of users, which relies on an equally ambitious and forward thinking value-added reseller and service provider community,” said Johan Pellicaan, Managing Director EMEA and Vice President at EVault. “An EVault team in Germany enables us to best serve local customers seeking to better protect its data while offering tremendous opportunity to our partner community to deliver EVault through locally recognized and trusted service models.”
In coordination with partners this new office will more effectively address the issues raised in EVault's own research, which found that nearly half of German companies suffered from data loss last year.
