Teradyne Earns Top Spot in VLSIresearch Customer Satisfaction Survey

18:00 EDT Monday, July 08, 2013

NORTH READING, Mass. (Business Wire) -- Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE: TER) is proud to announce its first place ranking in both the Test Equipment and Large Supplier of Chip Making Equipment categories in the 2013 VLSIresearch Customer Satisfaction Survey. Teradyne received 'THE BEST' award for Test Equipment, a '10 BEST' award for Large Suppliers of Chip Making Equipment and earned the #1 ranking in customer satisfaction in each category. High ratings in Product Performance, Technical Leadership, Trust in Supplier and Quality of Results contributed to the top place finishes.

"It is a distinguished honor to have been voted number one by our customers," said Brad Nelson, Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Teradyne. “VLSIresearch's survey results highlight Teradyne's history of innovation in test technology, economical product solutions and strong customer partnerships. Most importantly, I want to congratulate our customers' test engineers and their Teradyne counterparts who use our products daily to solve fantastically complex test engineering challenges, under very tight time-to-market constraints, in order to deliver the highest quality semiconductors, at the lowest possible cost-of-test."

"Teradyne is among an elite group of companies that have been named a '10 BEST' Supplier since the Survey's inception 25 years ago,” said G. Dan Hutcheson, CEO of VLSIresearch. “The recognition is indicative of Teradyne's commitment to innovation and technological leadership.”

VLSIresearch surveys equipment users to determine how they value their equipment and their relationships with suppliers. Over 70,000 responses were gathered from 3,184 surveys from users in China, Europe, Japan, Korea, North America, Taiwan and other areas of the world. Participants rated suppliers on customer service, product performance and supplier performance. The annual Customer Satisfaction Survey is the only publicly available opportunity for chip manufacturers to provide feedback on their suppliers. The '10 BEST' rankings award special recognition to the suppliers that are rated highest by end-users.
