NEW YORK (Business Wire) -- Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE: RL) today announced that David Lauren, Executive Vice President of Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications for the Ralph Lauren Corporation, has joined the Board of Directors. David Lauren's election to the Board brings the number of Directors on the Company's Board to thirteen.

David Lauren joined the Company in 2001 as Chief Creative and Marketing Officer for the Company's e-commerce and media organization. Currently, David Lauren, 41, oversees global advertising and marketing for the Company, where he been instrumental in developing and enhancing the brand's vision through the company's celebrated advertising campaigns and has been the driving force behind several groundbreaking media initiatives and online innovations. He is the President of the Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation and sits on the Board of Trustees for the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention.
