Extendicare Announces Appointment of New CFO

MARKHAM, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 16, 2013) - Extendicare Inc. ("Extendicare" or the "Company") (TSX:EXE) announced today that Dylan Mann will be appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to replace Doug Harris upon his retirement on July 5, 2013. Mr. Mann holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with an Accounting major from the University of Rhode Island and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Mann is a former executive of the Company's wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, Extendicare Health Services, Inc. (EHSI). He joined EHSI in August 2006 as Director of Internal Audit and was promoted to Vice President and Controller in May 2011, a position he held until his departure in August 2012. Since leaving EHSI in 2012, Mr. Mann has been serving as the Vice President, Controller at Brookdale Senior Living.
