MONTREAL, CANADA--(Marketwired - July 15, 2013) - On behalf of the Board of Directors of Rogers Sugar Inc. (the "Corporation") (TSX:RSI), Stuart Belkin and Edward Makin, respectively Chairman and President, are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Manon Lacroix as Vice-President, Finance for Lantic Inc. ("Lantic"), a subsidiary of the Corporation, effective August 3, 2013. Ms. Lacroix succeeds Mr. Daniel Lafrance who, as previously announced, has elected to take early retirement after a successful 21-year career with Lantic. Mr. Lafrance will continue to be associated with Lantic through his January 2013 appointment to the Board of Directors of Lantic Inc.
Ms. Lacroix, who graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, is also a Chartered Accountant. Manon brings to the organization more than 15 years experience in finance acquired in Canada and the United Kingdom. After serving for several years with a major Canadian audit firm, Manon then occupied various financial positions in the private sector. Joining Lantic in 2008 as Director of Finance, Manon has expertise in matters of financial reporting, accounting policies, cost controls and financial instruments as well as strong leadership skills.
