Cool Off This Summer at the Touch of a TASSIMO Button
GLENVIEW, Ill., May 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- TASSIMO, the single-serve home brewing system, is cooling consumers down this summer with its new seasonal flavor offering of Sweet Black Iced Tea. TASSIMO Sweet Black Iced Tea will be available in June in select retail stores and online at tassimodirect.com. Sweet Black Iced Tea is the newest addition to the TASSIMO Tea Bar line of products and enhances the growing assortment of TASSIMO single-serve beverage options.
"In addition to the wide coffee and espresso offerings in the TASSIMO portfolio, we're thrilled to bring this delicious iced tea to our consumers," said Jennifer Dahlgren, Brand Manager for Tassimo at Kraft Foods. "Sweet Black Iced Tea enhances the robust line of beverages available for enjoyment with a TASSIMO machine. Sweet black tea was crafted to be enjoyed over ice with lemon all summer long!"
The TASSIMO home brewing system offers an extensive variety of specialty beverages, and is the only system to employ bar code technology that measures the exact time, temperature and amount of water necessary to make each beverage delicious and refreshing. For Iced Tea beverages, the tea is "heat extracted" to precisely deliver outstanding flavor when brewed over ice.
Consumers can enjoy the new TASSIMO Sweet Black Iced Tea by purchasing T Discs online at www.tassimodirect.com and at select retailers. Suggested retail price is $9.99 for a sixteen-count pack.
About TASSIMO The TASSIMO Home Brewing System freshly brews a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffees, lattes, cappuccinos, teas and hot chocolate. The TASSIMO system has two key components: the TASSIMO brewing machine and proprietary T DISCs. Through the TASSIMO barcode technology, developed and designed by Kraft Foods, the Bosch machine's microprocessor reads the bar code printed on the T DISC label and automatically calculates the correct water amount, temperature and brewing time. A T DISC contains precisely measured amounts of ground coffee, espresso, tea, chocolate syrup or real milk creamer from distinct brands, including Gevalia, Maxwell House, Twinings®, Milka, Tim Hortons, Jacobs, Carte Noire and Suchard. The internal components of the T DISC are uniquely tailored to each product type and guide the flow through the Tassimo machine. This ensures that each cup is brewed to the highest standard of quality, with just the touch of a button. Most beverages are ready in about one minute. Visit www.tassimo.com.
