The Nilson Report Ranks Citi® as Number One U.S. Corporate Card Issuer for Fourth Consecutive Year

09:00 EDT Monday, August 26, 2013

NEW YORK (Business Wire) -- For the fourth consecutive year, Citi has been ranked as the number one Corporate Card issuer in the U.S. by The Nilson Report. The ranking is based on 2012 transaction volume and places Citi well ahead of its nearest competitors.

Citi Commercial Cards, with issuance capabilities in over 100 countries and an extensive proprietary local currency network of 67 countries, has long been considered a pre-eminent commercial cards provider to large and multi-national organizations both in the U.S. and globally.

“Citi Commercial Cards is dedicated to meeting the needs of the U.S. market, which contains Citi's diverse Commercial Card client base, both in the public and corporate sectors,” said Andrew Gelb, Citi's Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions, North America. “As part of our steadfast commitment to support our clients' T&E program needs, Citi continues to evolve and expand its product solutions, including launching the first Chip And Pin Commercial Card offering in the U.S.”

As a leading Commercial Card issuer, Citi is at the forefront of providing solutions, including Corporate T&E, Purchasing Card, and ePayables programs that offer greater control, visibility and optimization to help clients maximize their efficiencies and expand their opportunities. With our broad reach, international network, and advanced payment, reporting and expense management tools, Citi continues to raise the bar for commercial card programs.

““Citi is once again pleased to be recognized as the largest U.S. Corporate Card issuer,” added Gonca Latif-Schmitt, Citi's North America Head of Commercial Cards. “Year over year, we continually strive to provide our clients with exceptional services and solutions to meet their Corporate Card needs.” Citi Commercial Cards' products form the core of the expense management strategies for many multinational corporations and public sector entities, making Citi a premier card issuer in terms of technology, innovation and volume.
