Tokyu Livable to Collaborate with Hotel Investment Consulting Firms, Horwath HTL and HTL Capital Advisors

05:00 EDT Wednesday, September 04, 2013

TOKYO (Business Wire) -- Tokyu Livable, Inc. (TOKYO:8879)(‘TLI') is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Horwath HTL - Japan (“HHTL”) and HTL Capital Advisors LLC (“HCA”) to collaborate on the provision of services related to hotel asset transactions.

With this agreement, TLI will expand its business opportunities related to operational assets, particularly hotels, which have recently been attracting investors as a new investment target in the real estate market.

Handling of these assets requires much more professional expertise and a greater global network, due to the fluctuation of daily cash flows. HHTL and HCA are working in parallel, developing their hotel investment consulting business globally, and by collaborating with these companies, TLI aims to expand its brokerage business in Japan's hotel investment market for both domestic and overseas investors.

TLI has already set up special teams in its Business Solutions Head Office dedicated to particular asset types, such as hotels, logistics properties, senior housing, retail properties, etc., to strengthen its expertise in providing real estate market business solutions. In addition, TLI established the Global Business Development Unit (“GBD”) in the Business Solutions Head Office, to expand its overseas related businesses, providing information and investment services related to real estate investment in Japan, mainly for English speaking investors. TLI completed the brokerage of the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel (Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture) for a large US fund in July 2013.
