NEW YORK (Business Wire) -- Wunderman has promoted Julian Ormerod to managing director, global client lead on its worldwide Nokia account. Ormerod, who is based in London, has served for the last 2½ years as managing director of Wunderman's Blast Radius agency group in Europe. In his newly broadened role, he takes on leadership responsibilities for the global Nokia business and continues to manage Blast Radius in the UK.
Ormerod succeeds Martin Conneen, who led the global Nokia account until he was named COO of Wunderman's Brand Experience division earlier this year. Conneen has joined Wunderman Brand Experience president Sam Landers to align capabilities and partner company brands across the division worldwide.
Ormerod joined Wunderman in 2007, leading Nokia's UK account and serving as Wunderman's chief digital officer there for three years. Prior to Wunderman, Ormerod worked at AKQA, leading the Orange and Microsoft businesses. He also managed his own online marketing consultancy following a successful stint at Modem Media, where he was responsible for rebuilding the business following the dot-com crash. He launched his career on the client side of the marketing world at Porsche Cars GB, spending seven years there before moving to Proximity and then Wunderman Cato Johnson.
