Comcast Celebrates Native American Heritage Month with Free On Demand Programming Across Multiple Platforms

PHILADELPHIA (Business Wire) -- Comcast will celebrate Native American Heritage Month this November by offering a collection of free movies, TV specials and music to digital Xfinity TV customers on television, online and on mobile devices. Plus, for the first time, the company will provide millions of video customers with exclusive access to the latest independent film festival content from LA Skins Fest and Red Nation Film Festival & Awards Show.

All programming will be available on Xfinity On Demand, and select content will also be on Xfinity.com/TV and Xfinity TV Go.

The film festivals, which feature content produced by and about Native Americans, include the following features, documentaries and short films:

LA Skins Festival (http://www.laskinsfest.com/): A Return Home (short documentary), The Art of Speed (short documentary), Awakening of the Spirit (short documentary), Crazy Ind'n (short film), Dome of Heaven (documentary feature), Conversion (short documentary), Journeys of the Pacific Northwest (short documentary), Navajo Oral History - Rug Weaver (short documentary), Thunder Being Nation (feature documentary) and Tushka (feature film).

Red Nation Film Festival (http://rednationfilmfestival.com/): American Holocaust: When It's All Over I'll Still Be Indian (short documentary), Cangleska Wakan (documentary feature), In the Footsteps of Yellow Woman (short documentary) and Urban Rez (documentary feature).

Xfinity TV's Native American Heritage offering also includes movies and TV specials from HBO and NBC, such as Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (feature film), Life Connected (documentary)and more. Additionally, classics like The Last of the Mohicans, Windtalkers and other feature films will be available for rent on Xfinity On Demand.
