Production Issues in Calgary Result in Limited Distribution

11:12 EST Thursday, December 12, 2013

TORONTO (Business Wire) -- Due to production issues overnight at Transcontinental printing, the Calgary Herald and the Calgary edition of the National Post were not fully distributed to subscribers today.

Copies of the Herald's weekly paper, Neighbours, along with advertising flyers have been delivered. Single copies of the Calgary Herald and National Post were distributed this morning to all regular retail locations.

Postmedia and the Calgary Herald sincerely apologize to readers and advertisers as we continue to work through the growing pains of a new production system. We are working diligently to resolve these issues with our business partners.

All subscribers will be given an automatic credit for today's paper. People wanting to read today's newspaper for free in digital form, can access the ePaper, a page-by-page replica of the newspaper, by clicking the ePaper link at the top of the homepage.

About the Calgary Herald
The Calgary Herald Mining and Ranche Advocate and General Advertiser began publishing as a weekly newspaper on August 31, 1883 when Calgary's population was just 400 people. Since then, the Calgary Herald has chronicled the evolution of this vibrant, enterprising city and the world we live in.

Community is at the heart of what the Herald does every day with initiatives such as the Calgary Herald Christmas Fund, our annual Raise-a-Reader literacy campaign, and the recent Sandy Beach Riverbank Rescue Project. The Herald also lends support to the many individuals, organizations and charities that perform admirable work on the community's behalf. Together we share a common goal to make Calgary the best place to live, work and play.
