09:00 EST Wednesday, December 18, 2013

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Business Wire) -- HCA (NYSE:HCA) today announced an agreement to purchase a site at Capitol View in the North Gulch area where its Parallon Business Solutions and Sarah Cannon Research Institute subsidiaries will relocate. This move is expected to bring some 2,000 jobs and approximately $200 million in private investment to Davidson County over the next several years.

According to the agreement, which is subject to certain conditions, WCP Properties, an HCA subsidiary, will purchase the 10.76-acre parcel from Northwestern Mutual and will develop the project. Site design currently is underway, and Parallon and Sarah Cannon are expected to relocate to their new headquarters by the end of 2016.

Richard M. Bracken, HCA's Chairman and CEO said, “We appreciate Mayor Dean's continued support of our expansion in Davidson County, and we look forward to completing this project, which will promote the growth and development of the North Gulch area.”
