Build.com Expands on Marketplaces with ChannelAdvisor, Eyes Cross-Border Trade08:49 EDT Thursday, May 15, 2014
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (Business Wire) -- ChannelAdvisor Corporation (NYSE:ECOM), a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions that enable retailers and manufacturers to increase global sales, today announced that after success with ChannelAdvisor Digital Marketing, Build.com looked to ChannelAdvisor for assistance with marketplace expansion. ChannelAdvisor Digital Marketing helps Build.com manage and automate its online marketing programs to increase traffic on its website. Build.com is using ChannelAdvisor Marketplaces to complement its digital marketing strategy by maximizing results on Amazon, eBay and emerging marketplaces.
“We quickly scaled our business by using ChannelAdvisor's system to leverage digital marketing and marketplaces management,” said Josh Bultz, Build.com vice president of marketplaces. “When we started using ChannelAdvisor Marketplaces, we launched on eBay and Amazon. Shortly thereafter we listed products on three more marketplaces including Newegg and Sears. We plan to expand to Rakuten.com Shopping soon as well.”
Build.com is evaluating opportunities to expand its global reach through ChannelAdvisor's access to international marketplaces such as MercadoLibre, Tmall.com and more.
“An area we want to focus on is cross-border trade, and without ChannelAdvisor we wouldn't be able to do that,” said Bultz. “It's a great opportunity for ChannelAdvisor to help us expand beyond our borders and access new customers that we couldn't otherwise get on our website.”
“Build.com is well positioned to accelerate its online growth with an effective digital marketing strategy and a solid foundation on marketplaces,” said David Spitz, ChannelAdvisor president and chief operating officer. “We're excited that Build.com is looking for opportunities to sell internationally, and we believe that we can help the company reach its e-commerce goals.”
The ChannelAdvisor platform offers retailers and manufacturers leading cloud-based solutions to efficiently automate and manage the online selling process across multiple channels, including third-party marketplaces and digital marketing channels such as paid search and comparison shopping engines. Through a single inventory feed, ChannelAdvisor customers can manage their overall online selling process, from listing to order management, from one platform. By eliminating the tedious tasks of optimizing online listings and analyzing performance, ChannelAdvisor can enable sellers to increase sales and successfully scale their e-commerce businesses.
