National Governance Award

The Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries announced its inaugural Corporate Governance Awards. BMO received top honours for its use of technology to inform, educate and facilitate sound governance, ethics, compliance and risk management practices throughout its entire employee and stakeholder base worldwide.

"Timely, clear and informed reporting are important principles of sound corporate governance and the foundation of our corporate responsibility strategy," said Simon Fish, Executive Vice-President and General Counsel, BMO Financial Group. "This award is testament to the bank's commitment to look continuously for new and more effective ways to connect with our employees, customers and investors wherever they are in the world."
