Media Advisory - Air Canada invites media to tour its new, state-of-the-art Operations Centre

TORONTO, Aug. 16, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada invites members of the media to tour its new Operations Centre in Brampton, Ontario on Tuesday, August 20. The state-of-the-art facility will serve as the control centre for the airline's global operations once fully operational in early 2014. Following a tour of the centre members of the media are invited to attend an opening ceremony with Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer and other senior executives of Air Canada. Local politicians are also invited to the event.

When:   1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 followed by Official Opening at 2 p.m.
Where:  99 Ironbridge Road, Brampton (intersection of Mississauga Road and Highway 407)
What:   Media will have opportunity to tour and explore the new facility that will host Air Canada's global Operations Centre. Employees will be available to explain the workings of the new 75,000 square foot centre which incorporates the latest IT, ergonomic and other design features to further enhance Air Canada's position as one of the world's leading airlines.
