CALGARY, Aug. 29, 2013 /CNW/ - Boardwalk Real Estate Investment Trust ("BEI.UN" - TSX)

On Tuesday, August 27, 2013, Boardwalk Rental Communities ("Boardwalk", "The Trust") hosted the Easter Seals Drop Zone in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.   This is the seventh consecutive year that Boardwalk has hosted this event which raises money to send children with disabilities to Camp Easter Seal, Summer Fun Program, and Adaptive Technology.

Over 70 participants repelled down Boardwalk's Carlton Towers, a 22-story high-rise building located in the heart of Saskatoon.  This year's event raised $171,000, which will be used to send 114 children to Camp Easter Seal.

Sam Kolias, CEO and Chairman of Boardwalk REIT said, "We are so proud to again be a part of the Easter Seals Drop Zone in Saskatoon.   Not only is the event a lot of fun to be a part of, but it also supports an amazing cause.  Boardwalk is dedicated to being involved by supporting our Communities and this event aligns perfectly with this commitment. Congratulations to all of the participants and volunteers who have been, and continue to be, a part of the Easter Seals Drop Zone in Saskatoon." For more information on Camp Easter Seals, visit
