DRUMMONDVILLE, QC, Sept. 5, 2013 /CNW/ - Scotiabank today announced the plans to build a new 6,400 square foot Regional Center in Drummondville, Quebec set to open in the summer of 2014. The new full service regional centre will be located on the southeast corner of St-Amant St. and René-Levesque Blvd. and will offer a variety of retail, small business, commercial, agriculture and wealth services along with a drive-thru ABM. This opening represents a $3.4 million investment and 20 new jobs for the region.

"Drummondville represents a strategic expansion for Scotiabank in Quebec and we are proud to offer a variety of client services in the retail, commercial and wealth segments," said Carole Chapdelaine, Scotiabank Senior Vice-President, Quebec and Eastern Ontario Region. "Our team of experts will be ready to serve the community and do our part to move the economic development of the region forward."

The Drummondville Regional Center will offer the following features and services:

"We are pleased to welcome Scotiabank to our region, said Francine Ruest Jutra, Mayor of Drummondville and President of the Société de développement économique de Drummondville.  "Scotiabank's investment in Drummondville is good news for our local economy and I know the businesses in the region will benefit from the variety of services and expertise that they bring."

Scotiabank is expanding into Drummondville and what is widely perceived as the driving economic force in the "heart of Quebec" to pursue the many economic opportunities in this fast-growing community.  Earlier this week Scotiabank announced that its customers will have ABM access at select Couche-Tard stores across Quebec, effective September 3, 2013. This expansion of 287 Scotiabank-branded ABMs will boost the Bank's ABM network in Quebec to 444. Along with supporting the economic development in the region, Scotiabank also looks forward to supporting the local charitable causes that are important to our customers and employees.
