SANTA ANA, Calif. and SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- sTec, now part of HGST (a Western Digital company, NASDAQ: WDC) today announced it will showcase its PCI Express (PCIe)- and SAS-based enterprise-class solid-state storage solutions, which improve the performance of Oracle database applications at Oracle OpenWorld 2013. The company will feature sTec PCIe and SAS solid-state drive (SSD) solutions in a demonstration that highlights how offloading transaction I/O tasks to the SSDs frees server resources and improves performance in storage arrays. Additionally, sTec will be presenting throughout the day (during the conference's exhibit hours) live presentations on SSDs' critical role in Oracle environments.
