The case for charging your kids rent
This Gen Y blogger was charged rent by her parents when she moved back home after graduating from university, and she’s A-OK with it . In fact, she thinks all boomerang kids should pay at least a token amount of rent.
Here’s a video in which my 19-year-old son and I discuss how to graduate from university without debt. He’s in his second year at university in Toronto. Would we charge him rent if he moves back home in Ottawa? I doubt it.
