Here are two articles that appeared on a website for investment advisers, the first of them raising questions about whether it's possible to be a long-term investor in today's uncertain markets and the second affirming the sense of a long-term approach. I still think most investors are best served by sticking with a portfolio mix tied to their risk tolerance and objectives. The more you try to outsmart the market, the more chance there is that the market will win.
