The best of the Web on money, markets and all things financial, as chosen daily by Globe and Mail personal finance columnist Rob Carrick.

Wonders of the Web, Part One

We are on the brink of an online revolution in the way Canadians manage their finances. New websites are coming this fall that will help people run their investments more efficiently, track their family finances and also find the right financial adviser.

First up is Optimize.ca, which launches Monday with a service to help people save on investing and banking fees. Later phases will cover financial planning, portfolio analysis and providing a view of all your financial accounts in one place.

Also set to launch here soon is Mint.com, a well known U.S. website that connects all your banking and investing accounts and provides a big picture of your financial situation. Here's Mint's U.S. website.

Wonders of the Web, Part Two

The guy behind the Canadian Finance blog has created an online directory of what the top personal finance websites and blogs are writing about. Brilliant idea.
