Next Monday, Oct. 22, Globe Unlimited subscribers will see a new feature, called the Dashboard, available on globeandmail.com.
The Dashboard is an evolving tool that lets you keep track of the news you read on the site. With it, you can easily follow companies, receive breaking news and stock alerts, and save stories for later reading. As well, the Dashboard synchronizes across all digital devices. So, whether at home or at work, you’ll always be up to date. Watch this video demonstration of how the Dashboard will work.
When visiting globeandmail.com, no matter what page you’re on, the Dashboard will be there alerting you to the latest news events you’ve chosen to follow. With one click, though, you can simply tuck the Dashboard away and return to your regular reading experience.
If you don’t have time to read a Globe story right away, the Dashboard can help, too. Globe Unlimited subscribers will be able to time-shift their news reading by saving a story on to the Dashboard so it can be enjoyed at a more convenient time.
We’re just getting started with the Dashboard and want to hear from our Globe Unlimited subscribers about how we can continue to develop its features. This first version is in beta, which means we’ll be introducing new features in the weeks and months to come based in part on the ideas we hear.
And remember, Globe Unlimited and all of its features are included free if you subscribe to the newspaper five or six days a week, to GlobePlus or to GlobeInvestorGold. There’ s a 75 per cent discount if you subscribe to the newspaper for four days or fewer each week.
The Globe's editor-in-chief will also take your questions on Globe Unlimited. Send a question for John Stackhouse here.Report Typo/Error
