Here are the most common questions and answers about the Watchlist. You can also visit the Watchlist video tutorials section for more help.

Where can I access my old Stocklist/Fundlist?

While you are on the Watchlist page, look to the gray navigation bar and click on the 'Stocklist (Old Style)' or 'Fundlist (Old Style)' links provided.



How do I create a new Watchlist?

Click on the 'Create a New Watchlist' link and you will be promted to give your new Watchlist a name. Enter in the desired name and click on the 'Done' button when ready.



Is there a limit of how many Watchlists I can have?

You can create as many Watchlists as you like. We are not limiting the number of lists that you can track.



How many stocks can I hold in a single Watchlist? Funds? Indexes?

Within a single Watchlist, you can track 200 stocks, funds, commodities, indexes or currencies.



How can I add stocks/funds to my Watchlist?

Just enter in the stock symbol, company name or fund name into the orange Add Items area and then click on the 'Add to Watchlist' button. It's that easy!



If you are on a stock summary or fund summary page and want to add it to your Watchlist, click on the 'Add to Watchlist' link and you'll be asked what list you'd like to put it in. When you are ready, click the button provided. A quick confirmation note will be provided.



How do I delete a stock/fund/index from my Watchlist?

To remove an item from your Watchlist, look to the right hand side and click on the X icon. We'll ask you to confirm that you want to remove the stock before deleting it from the listing. Your Watchlist will then refresh automatically.



How can I import my Stocklist/Fundlist to my Watchlist?

Importing your old list into the Watchlist is easy. At the top of the Watchlist screen, click on the 'Import To/Export a Watchlist'. A new window will pop up asking you what list you want to import. Select either Stocklist or Fundlist and click on 'Import'. After a few moments, you will see a confirmation notice appear and your list will be displayed.



Please be assured that you won't lose your old stocklist and/or fundlist by importing them to the Watchlist.



How can I export my Watchlist?

Just above your Watchlist, click on the 'Import To/Export a Watchlist' link and a new window will appear. In this new window, please click on the 'Export' button. In this area, you will be asked as to what data you want to export. Click on the option you would like and then hit the 'Export' button. The information will be exported into a CSV file that you can use in other programs.



Can I customize the look of my Watchlist?

To change the look of your Watchlist, look to the right hand side and click on the 'View' button provided. A drop down menu will appear. Choose 'Build your Own' and then click on the 'Customize' button. Here, you can hide certain columns from view, and drag and drop columns to reposition columns to your liking. When you're done, click on the 'Save Changes' button.



If you want to start over, just click on the 'Reset' button and the changes will be undone. Or, if want to make the changes at a later date, simply click on the 'Cancel' button to back out of the Customize view.





What if I want to change the view of my list?

While viewing your Watchlist, look to the right hand side. Click on the 'View' button provided and a drop down menu will allow you to change the Watchlist style. You can choose from the following options:

  • Overview
  • Ratios
  • Dividends
  • Earnings
  • All News
  • Customize
