Blair: A nice outing for the bullpen Add to ...

Top of the ninth was one of those, well, cool spring training innings that come around every once in a while.

Papelbon hit Sal Fasano with a pitch and Fasano angrily tossed his bat to the ground as he went to first. Up comes Eric Nielsen, who promptly engages in a 15-pitch battle with Papelbon, swinging and missing at a filthy 89 MPH slider ... but not before Fasano STEALS SECOND BASE!

Unfortunately for Pal Sal, he was picked off second to end the inning.

Mike Gosling's working his second inning and retired the Red Sox 1-2-3. The Jays win 4-3, get nine hits ... and a bunch of Blue Jays relievers tag-team the Red Sox, limiting them to three hits. John Parrish helped his cause today.
