It's rare that house cleaning should be cause for excitement. But this spring, you can sweeten the obligatory drudgery with a new line of products for the fashion-conscious.
Previously available only south of the border (and some of us stocked up whenever we could), the Method collection of fragrant soaps and all-purpose cleaners are now at your neighbourhood Shoppers Drug Mart.
The bottles themselves, chic, minimalist and designed by Karim Rashid, are seductive -- our favourite is the teardrop-shaped hand wash ($4.49). There's also a voluptuous dish soap ($4.49) and an all-purpose cleaner spray ($5.99) that you'll be tempted to apply to every surface.
The bottles are made of clear plastic, to show off the jewel tones of the products within: The mauve line is French lavender-scented with essential oils; the pink smells like pink grapefruit and the apple green colour is actually a delicious combo of green tea and aloe.
They're also kind to the environment, being biodegradable and all. And did we mention that they clean well?
