One of the best places to view Manhattan's urban landscape will reopen Nov. 1 in New York City. Top of the Rock, the historic observation deck on the roof of the 70-storey Rockefeller Center, has been redesigned with major improvements such as a glass ceiling and panels of floor-to-ceiling non-glare safety glass. The 360-degree view includes a panorama of Central Park and clear sightings of Times Square, the Chrysler Building (pictured above), the Hudson and East Rivers, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.
The observation deck is open 365 days a year. Tickets have to be purchased in advance; adult admission is about $17, seniors $14, children $11. Staff
