"Sophie, my wife, prepared the meal. I was working on the Euro so Sophie ... decided she would do it ... for me because I was working all day. It's been 10-hour days [during the Euro 2008 tournament]. Sunday was very well-needed.
"I played a little football out in the garden with my daughter beforehand, then we came in and all sat at the dining room table. A lot of times you don't get the opportunity to sit there and chat about the week ... or what you've been up to that day.
"We had roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, horseradish sauce, broccoli and peas, roast potatoes and gravy. My wife's from England and it was an English Sunday dinner. It's one of our favourites.
"English food is awful, generally speaking. Some of the dishes are very simple and go way back, like cottage pie. And if it's done well it tastes really good, but if you go into a pub it's really disappointing. All mashed potato and no meat. That's why Indian food is so popular in England, because it's actually got flavour."
