The Buy: Off the Wall organic tees

Globe and Mail Update

Funny how in the spirit of using fewer plastic bags, we've amassed so many canvas carryalls (labelled with everything from soup company to shoe store logos), we've had to dedicate an entire drawer to them in our kitchen.

Well, at least we have something to hold all those eco-friendly, organic tees we're also gaining quite the collection of. Especially now that Off the Wall has launched some of the best-priced eco-friendly clothing we've seen in a while (no sense paying $80 for a tee that's so soft it'll feel like wilted lettuce after a few wears).

Made with 99 per cent organic cotton (the other percentage covers the low-impact dyes, which use recycled water and heat), they come in a rainbow of colours and equally cheerful sayings.

And at only $25 each (or $40 for two), at least you won't be too broke to fill those "I'm Not A Plastic Bag" bags with grain-fed, free-range chicken breasts and local, pesticide-free tomatoes.
