Drink Up: Sailor Jerry Spiced Navy Rum

Globe and Mail Update

It's pretty hard for us to turn down a product whose tagline is: "Stewed, Screwed & Tattooed," so when cult classic Sailor Jerry rum (named after the famous tattoo artist Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins) hit shelves recently, there was no way we weren't going to raise a glass. Because back in the day there were no women, no bars and definitely no Internet on board to entertain those cursing sailors in the middle of the ocean, but what there always was, was heaps of rum.

Why, the 92-proof blend of traditional Caribbean-style rum with vanilla, lime and spices makes us feel like a little scallywag, it does!

$27.45 for 750 millilitres at select liquor stores.
