Travelling with a baby means carting around a lot of stuff. A lot. The last thing any mom needs is to drag along a 20-pound, hockey-bag-sized "portable" playpen/crib, so little Junior has somewhere to sleep. The Pogy Travel Crib ($49), from Sunshine Kids, is perfect for those trips out of town with baby in tow, or even afternoon play dates that run through nap time. The lightweight bed springs open with ease, and folds up compactly into a nifty carrying case about the size of a coffee-table book. It comes with removable mosquito netting for the outdoorsy baby, and its cotton-covered foam mattress is washable in case of accidents. It must be also be comfortable: Our test baby fell asleep inside with minimal fussiness.
The crib is surprisingly tough, standing up to even the most horrific toddler abuse. And at 39 inches long, it'll hold Junior well into the terrible twos.
