It's time to face reality: In a few weeks the cold weather will begin to settle in. And suddenly one day you will wake up and your skin will be dry. Horribly dry.
Since you will then spend the next several months slathering moisturizer over your face and body, let's take a moment now, before the panic sets in, to think about what's best for your skin. Irritating chemicals that harm you and the environment? No, ma'am. Locally made, organic products that are gentle on skin? Yes, sir.
Nàdarra Skincare was founded by Torontonian Julia Michener after regular products gave her rashes. The line features moisturizers, cleansers and sprays, all made in Toronto. The ingredients are a mix of oils, vitamins and other naturally derived substances. Anything suspected of having toxic or allergenic properties, such as parabens and artificial fragrance, doesn't make it in to the bottles — and shouldn't make it onto your skin.
