Staten Island Ferry celebrates centennial

The Staten Island Ferry, one of New York City's most famous attractions, celebrates its 100th birthday on Oct. 25. The vessel transports about 70,000 commuters every day. Special events to celebrate the anniversary include free music performances and art exhibits at the St. George Terminal on Staten Island and the Whitehall terminal in Manhattan as well as art exhibits at the Staten Island Museum.
