Miley Cyrus wants to make one thing perfectly clear: She was not referring to her ex-fiance in a recent expletive-filled onstage rant.

The 21-year-old singer went on Twitter yesterday to clarify the harsh words she directed toward an unnamed person while performing at the London nightclub called G.A.Y. last weekend.

According to witnesses, Cyrus seemed to go off-script during the introduction to her song Wrecking Ball. "Every time you get in your car, you're going to hear my [expletive] song on the [expletive] radio, you piece of [expletive]," Cyrus reportedly said.

Cyrus used even more expletives to dedicate the song to "people" who "broke my heart, particularly one."

Yesterday, Cyrus took to Twitter to tell her followers that she wasn't referring to her former fiancé, actor Liam Hemsworth. "Just FYI what I said the other night at G.A.Y. had nothing to do with Liam. I was just trying to rile up the boys," tweeted Cyrus.

As she explained further: "I don't usually respond to tabloidy stuff but this isn't something I want being spread around. It sounded hateful but not what I meant."

Added Cyrus: "I never want hateful things being said about those I care about… I was just tooooo turntttt up."

Cyrus also spent time yesterday posting a series of Instagram photos to commemorate her mother's birthday.

The photos show Tish Cyrus, 54, and her famous daughter sipping martinis in Glasgow, Scotland, and sporting pink and yellow "peace paint" on their respective faces.

For reasons unknown, several of the pictures show mother and daughter wearing rabbit and sheep masks.
