THE SHEEN METHOD

Charlie Sheen has joined the legions of celebrities taking the Ice Bucket Challenge – but of course he did it the Charlie Sheen way.

The Anger Management star is gaining notice for his own method of the teeth-chattering stunt designed to raise money for the ALS Association.

Over the past couple of weeks, the Ice Bucket Challenge – wherein the participant dumps a bucket of ice water over his or her head (or donates a minimum of $100 to the ALS cause) – has become a social-media phenomenon, with celebrities ranging from Sidney Crosby to Martha Stewart to Mark Zuckerberg taking the plunge.

And it's not just celebrities. According to Forbes, more than one million people have participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge in recent weeks. The New York Times reports that the stunt has raised an estimated $13.3-million (U.S.) since it was launched on July 29.

But as everybody knows, Charlie Sheen rarely plays by the rules.

In the video posted to TMZ, a casually attired Sheen says he was called out for the challenge by Vancouver Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller, talking to the camera while holding a large metal container.

But when Sheen dumps the contents of the container over his head, he's showered with a cascade of paper money.

"Oh wait, that's not ice," says Sheen in the clip. "That's $10,000 in cash, which I am donating to the ALS foundation."

He continues: "Because let's face it: Ice is going to melt but this money is going to actually help people."

In the same video, Sheen issues the Ice Bucket Challenge to his former Two And a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer, along with Ashton Kutcher – who replaced Sheen on TAHM when he was fired in 2011 – and series creator Chuck Lorre.

"I am hereby calling out Jon Cryer, Chuck Lorre and Ashton Kutcher to identically do what I just did," says Sheen. "C'mon guys, it's for a great cause."

Well, at least Sheen isn't threatening to put Kutcher on a "hospital food diet" any more.

GETTING HELP

"While on vacation this weekend, I decided to return to a recovery centre," said Vagas, 51, in a statement. "As so many other recovering alcoholics know, overcoming the disease can be a long and incredibly difficult process." Vargas previously spent a stint in rehab last October.

Last weekend, Azalea posted a photo of a recovering Jelli to her Instagram account along with the comment, "The Drs [doctors] said she's gonna be fine. Lucky she's got lots of wrinkles so the bite on her neck was only skin deep. Thanks for the positive vibes guys."
