TWEETING MURDER

We've seen historical events acted out in "real time" on Twitter before – the War of 1812 being one of them – but the latest could give you chills. @WChapelRealTime is an account that started tweeting on Saturday and will be live for four months as it traces Jack the Ripper's murderous rampage. "Ripperologists" – historians who have worked on the project – have been putting together a timeline of events, painting in bright colour what was once known as a time of terror in the Whitechapel area of London's East End. They told BBC they did it because of the fascination and attention the infamous killer has drawn over the years, including guesses about his true identity. They also hope to interest a younger generation in history using their preferred method of communication.

BOYFRIEND STALKER

In creepy news today, where's your boyfriend? Don't tell me you don't have a tracker on his phone? However will you know where he is and what he's getting himself up to? A popular Brazilian app has been taken off of the Google Play app store because of privacy abuse complaints. Called "Boyfriend Tracker" (in Portuguese), it has a number of scary functions. A targeted phone can be made to send duplicates of text messages and updates on its location, and even be commanded to do a "silent call" so the person tracking it can hear what's happening where the targeted phone is. This isn't the first app of its kind – Avocado and Wunderlist were made for couples but are intended to help them organize and plan events together. Boyfriend Tracker is a little bit more …stalkerish. Brazilian boyfriends, beware. Someone might be watching you.

QUOTED

"I have no memory of anything. I went to bed … woke up five days later in the hospital."

Tony Yahle

Officially dead for 45 minutes, the 37-year-old Ohio man lived to talk about the experience days later, ABC News reported. The cardiologist called Yahle's revival a miracle, saying he'd "never seen anything like it." Yahle said he didn't have any afterlife experiences that he remembers.
