Application:

First, make sure you've applied concealer where necessary, as a brighter looking under-eye will help with making your eyes look bigger

Here's how to define your eyes without making them appear too heavy-lidded, which will only make your eyes look smaller. Apply a thin line to the outer two-thirds of the top lash line, leaving the inner-third bare. This will ensure that you don't close in the eyes.

Next, curl your lashes, starting at the base, then the centre and then just before the tips to ensure you've achieved a good curl. Apply your first coat of mascara evenly. For your second coat, concentrate only on the centre-third of your lashes. If the centre lashes look more defined and longer than those framing the rest of the eye, your eye will look bigger.

Now, apply a very light, shimmery liner underneath the eyes and also along the lower rim. This will create the illusion of a slightly blurred lower eye area, making your eye look bigger. The shimmer in the liner will also attract more light to that area, doubling the effect.

Last, using the shimmery liner, place a small circle in the inner corner of the eye and use a cotton swab to blend in small circles, which will help to brighten that often dark pocket of the eye
