The question

I'm aiming to keep my look as simple as possible this summer, so I'm wondering: Is it okay to wear eyeliner without eyeshadow or does that look too unfinished?

The answer

Keeping your look as simple as possible is a great idea for summer and it's totally fine to wear eyeliner without eyeshadow. In fact, if you're looking to speed up your makeup routine, try skipping mascara and wearing a very thin black or dark brown liner close to the lash line. It will make your lash line appear thicker without the extra step of mascara.

To add a little drama to your look, you could also opt for a brightly coloured liner (such as turquoise, electric blue or amethyst) and apply it to both the upper and lower lash lines.

This will help you cut down on the time you spend indoors playing with eyeshadow, leaving you with more time to enjoy the outdoors.
