The product
Mary Kay Lash & Brow Building Serum
The promise
This amino-acid-infused serum ostensibly builds thicker, more natural-looking lashes and fills in sparse areas in your brows in 30 days.
How it works
The gentle formula contains a specialized peptide, red clover extract and amino-acid blend to help nourish and condition lashes and brows. Ophthalmologist-tested, it's suitable for contact-lens wearers and people with sensitive eyes.
How to use it
Make sure skin is clean and dry and contact lenses have been removed before applying the product. Use nightly by applying the formula to the base of the upper lashes, moving the brush from the inner corner outward. For brows, apply nightly to thin or bare areas in the direction of hair growth.
The bottom line
If eyes are the window to your soul, it stands to reason that eyebrows are a valance to your inner being. Unfortunately, my valance isn't so much made of twill damask as it is a polyester/rayon blend. I mean, they could pass for silk chiffon from a distance, but up close I'm not fooling anyone. I diligently applied this product to the sparse areas in my brows for a few weeks. Alas, they haven't upgraded to chiffon, damask or even Tencel and I've seen nary a new natural hair. I guess I'll just have to keep shopping for new material.
