On humid and rainy days, how on earth do you keep your bangs flat and dry? Even under an umbrella, mine flip right up.
If the weather is humid and your hair naturally waves, you are bound to have a little kink in those bangs.
Hair becomes frizzy when its shaft absorbs moisture and increases in size. So you should both condition your hair and help block out exterior moisture to prevent it from puffing up.
Deep-conditioning treatments and light leave-in treatments will help, but, to best block the humidity, try using a temporary smoothing treatment, such as Marc Anthony 30 Day Frizz Free Keratin Smoothing Treatment, which works by bonding to the hair.
You can, with a hair dryer and straightening iron, use it to thwart the absorption of dampness for up to 30 days. At $11.99, it’s less expensive than salon treatments. And it is also sulfate– and formaldehyde-free, which means less toxins and damage to worry about.
My other suggestion is to avoid the battle altogether by tying a scarf around your hair and pinning your fringe to the side or under the scarf. Not having to worry about how frizzy or flippy your bangs are leaves more time to enjoy jumping in puddles.
