L'Occitane Immortelle Brightening Moisture Mask

The promise

The latest addition to the Immortelle Brightening range, the Moisture Mask promises to boost skin's radiance and promote microcirculation while reducing wrinkles, soothing, moisturizing and providing an overall sense of well-being.

How it works

The mask uses organic essential oil derived from immortelle - a Corsican flower renowned for its ability to synthesize collagen and stimulate microcirculation - along with bellis perennis (a.k.a. daisy) extract, which has brightening properties. Combined with vitamin C (a known wrinkle reduce) and nourishing fig extract, the mask promises to restore skin's youthful glow.

How to use it

Apply a thick layer to clean, dry skin (avoiding the eye area) and leave on for five to 10 minutes. Remove any excess with a cotton pad if needed. Do not rinse. Can be repeated two or three times a week.

The bottom line

Would you believe me if I told you I have it on my face right now? You should, because, if there are any typos in this piece, it's due to the fact that I don't want to perch my glasses atop my creamy nose. The thick, gel-like mask has a distinct botanical aroma that reminds me of a Mediterranean herb garden and it's making my parched skin sing with the gentle nip of 1,000 daisy petals. Which is just a fancy way of saying it tingles. [Ten-minute time laps.]After wiping off the excess, I have been left with quenched and radiant skin and an overwhelming desire to take a trip to Corsica to stock up on those flowers of youth.

$78 at L'Occitane boutiques nationwide.
