Despite the promise of sunny skies and warm breezes, spring can be a tease, so sign up for a sure thing at Toronto’s One of a Kind Show and Sale (www.oneofakindshow.com). Starting March 30 and running through April 3, the sale is a guaranteed pick-me-up, featuring the bright, bold work of over 100 artists, designers and craftspeople under one roof at the Direct Energy Centre. Bigger than previous spring shows, this year’s welcomes such rising stars as porcelain maker Filipa Pimentel (whose work is shown here) and paper artist Mai Nakao-Ta of Kami Creations. It also marks the first appearance of the Muskoka Artists Marketplace, which showcases the work of 16 artisans from the region.
