Party photos of the week: The best of Toronto Fashion Week after parties Add to ...

Red lips and all-black-everything? It must be fashion week (read fashion week after-party week) in Toronto. By day, well-coifed style enthusiasts hit the tents at David Pecaut Square to take in the shows by Canadian fashion designers for World MasterCard Fashion Week; by night, brands, designers and sponsors battle it out for the title of best bash. Despite the hefty competition lined up on Wednesday, Pink Tartan and Joe Fresh’s joint jam on King Street takes the cake. Attracting the who’s who of the fashion, film, and foodie scene, the sprawling party – which took over both the newly renovated Susur and adjacent Lee restaurant spaces – was hosted by the smiley Mimrans themselves. The night didn’t end where it started, though – the fashion media bunch kept the party going at the newly opened The Citizen Restaurant for the Maybelline and Mackage event, where Beyonce’s Drunk in Love sparked quite the dance party. parties@globeandmail.com
