The Design Agency held their second annual party, dubbed a “summer block party,” on Thursday night in Toronto. The interior decor trio of Allen Chan, Matt Davis and Anwar Mekhayech hosted friends at their office, nestled in a parking lot off Adelaide Street West. The mix of clients, cool kids, and comrades, sipped on boozy lemonade while sampling Momofuku’s fried chicken and lamb on a spit from the soon-to-open Mamakas Taverna. Inside, artist Tyler Sammy of Futuretalk created an “[in]finite reflection” installation based on the DA’s logo. But it was Faith Orfus, of Yorkville’s Rac Boutique, who truly caused a stir with the most perfect middle-school side braid.
