Making the leap from safe separates to a jazzy jumpsuit can be tricky to say the least. One wrong move with makeup or accessories and you look like you’re starring in a production of Hair. To put it plainly: Keep it simple. This is a challenging piece that takes confidence to pull off (and on). But if you brave it, the compliments will surely come. Here’s how to style one for the office.

1. Even the queen of the wrap dress, Diane Von Furstenberg, has succumbed to the siren call of the jumpsuit. Her printed version was paired with a strong lip, which will read too clubby for day. Go for a softer shade instead.

2. Keep the look professional – and flattering – by belting it at your natural waist. Our H&M version comes with its own sash, but feel free to grab a belt the same colour as your suit. Failing that, a plain leather one will do.

3. Too shy for a loud print like the ones above? Go with a solid colour and jazz it up with accessories instead. If you do go for graphic, however, make sure to ground the look with sleek heels and a structured bag, both in neutral tones.
