Toronto Fashion Week Day 4: Bustle goes boating and Vawk wows with glam gowns
As the week strutted to a close, Bustle delivered a fun homage to seafaring, while Project Runway Canada alum Sunny Fong stood out with a stunning mix of evening wear and - yes - super-sexy swimsuits. (Call him a jack of all trades.)
Newbie Melissa Nepton stepped out with a spring collection that was part feminine, part sporty and entirely striking, as her models walked shrouded head to toe in linens.
White and beige were the founding shades of the collection, with pops of the palest of tangerine and infusions of slate grey.
The styling choices were interesting, with sleek visors and puzzling 'fashion kneepads,' paired with the swingy, carefree fabrics. It's clear Nepton wants her girls to look pretty while playing competitive sports.
In contrast to last night’s rugged Klaxon Howl collection, Krane opted for the always-in-vogue geek chic style, with two-tone bowties and zippers as suspenders.

We smell competition for Greta Constantine: Vawk’s spring collection was an elegant showing of high-glam evening wear in the softest combinations of muted gold, pale pink and sweet, mellow caramel.
Red-carpet-ready gowns were an exercise in craftsmanship, with intricate detailing work visible on metallic leather and chiffon.
And then there were the bathing suits: Vawk designer Sunny Fong wowed with a sexy set of suits that were cut (and covered) in all the right places.
Beauty-wise, Fong paid homage to the insect world with statement mega lashes on model of the moment Frances Coombe.
