Pizza sauce Add to ...

Fresh herbs are always nice if you have them on hand, but you could also add dried oregano or marjoram.

Ingredients

1 5.5 oz can tomato paste

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, chopped

1-inch squirt of anchovy paste

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

Add tomato paste to a small bowl and add the 1/2 cup water.  Mix until combined.

Add the fresh basil,  anchovy paste, minced garlic  and salt.  Mix well until combined.

Give the sauce a taste, you may want to add a bit of salt and pepper, or even a dash of hot sauce.  Then spread on your pizza.
