Scott McMaster, mixologist at Toronto's Colborne Lane, created custom chocolate-and-rye cocktail.

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces of Canadian Club

3/4 ounce of apple liqueur

1/2 ounce of vanilla syrup

3 drops of Fee Brothers chocolate bitters

Chartreuse

Method

To make it, simply combine the first four ingredients in a shaker and give a quick hard shake, then add a dash of Chartreuse and a chunk-sized ice cube into a rocks glass, swirl and pour the shaken combo over ice before garnishing with an apple spear. Sip to know this drink's got bite.
